Sometimes in the wild sloths grow moss on them because they move so little. Our family loved to visit the NC Museum of Science in Raleigh. In all the times we visited it through the years we never saw the sloth move, I don't think we ever saw his eyes! So watching the sloth move was quite a treat. Their hair grows opposite a dog's hair, from the center of its belly down over its sides.
