The First Robin of Spring

O.K. I know you can only see her back, and she's far away and the pic is a bit blurry but, it is a ROBIN! I think living here in the frozen north we are even more excited about seeing signs of spring.

Mail Call!

Sometime last spring! I bought fabric to make a dress, pinafore and bonnet for each of the girls. I had not gotten around to making them yet. When my mom was here in February she over heard Big Sister asking if we could cut out "just the hat?" My mom took the fabric home with her and one day there was a box in the mailbox with Big Sister's name on it. You can see how delighted she was!

Goodbye Friends!

Trying to get a pic of nine children is not easy!

My Friend and I

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Daddy gives shooting lessons on our range.

He had the same good students as the archery teachers.

Lasagna

I make a good cheese, noodle, sauce, meat casserole, a yummy vegetable lasagna and can open a mean Stouffer's lasagna, but Friend, she makes LASAGNA.

We are thinking of putting tile on the wall below the paint, is that called the backsplash?

Little Sister and R Played Dress Up

Big Brother and Little Brother taught an archery class.

They had good students.

Would you like to join us for tea?

Guess who likes to go puddle stomping?

The grass is nearly as tall as he is.

It makes for tough going. He loves to be outside. "Go Go Go" are his favorite words.

Someone's in the Kitchen with Friend

Friend and I spent alot of time in the kitchen, baking and cooking and sharing recipes.

S'mores, a Campfire and Friends

It doesn't get much better than that.

Grader Guy

He drives the grader in the spring, summer and fall and the plow in the winter. We call him the grader guy. It's cheap entertainment.

Practicing for Birthdays

While our family friends were here, we celebrated several(at least five) birthdays. We had several(at least one a day, sometimes two) kinds of desserts. We believe that you can stick a birthday candle in just about anything and sing and it's a party! Here Baby practices, its hard to tell in the picture but the candles are wick side down. He's got the cupcake eating part down pat though.

The boys went skiing with their Scout Troop.

It was Big Brother's second time, he and Daddy went one weekend when they were at an away hockey tournament. They both loved it!

M, Big Sister and Sadie

Our family friends came for a visit. Big Sister had a lesson, M came along. Afterwards they braided Sadie's mane.

Checking out the goats and ducklings at the Farm Show.

Found on my Camera

Three guesses who took it, and the first two don't count.
