Next Stop

The statue is Gunnar Wennerberg who was a Swedish poet, composer, educator and statesman who lived from 1817 - 1901. The house belonged to John H. Stevens, it was the first house on the West bank of the Mississippi River. Stevens ran a ferry service starting in 1850 at St. Anthony Falls. It was later moved to this park. I loved the Joe Pyeweed near the outhouse.
