The Muddy Missouri and the Steamboat Bertrand

Also at DeSoto Refuge were artifacts from the Steamboat Bertrand that sunk and was buried in the mud of the Missouri for 100 years. There were clothes, toys, food, and medicine. The children were most amazed at the number of shovels and other digging things. The Bertrand you see was going up the Missouri to supply gold mining towns in Montana.
