Minnehaha Depot

Little Brother had a ophthalmologist appointment in the cities, so we decided to make it a field trip day. After the doctor visit, our first stop was Minnehaha Park. In the park our first stop was Minnehaha Depot, which is a restored train depot now used as a museum. In the mid 1870's picnickers and sightseers took a 16 minute train ride from Minneapolis to Minnehaha Park and Longfellow Gardens Zoo. Later, it was a busy spot for armed sevice men going to and from Fort Snelling.
