Jeffer's Petroglyphs

One afternoon we took a trip out to Jeffer's Petroglyphs. These are ancient and not so ancient Native American Indian rock writings. We had a picnic and then hiked the long trail. First, we saw the buffalo rub. This rock outcropping was worn smooth by generations of bison rubbing off their winter hair. Then we hiked on the virgin prairie.
