Hot Fudge Sundae

from McDonalds is one way to get a few more miles under our belt. We arrived home Monday afternoon from our trip to see Big Brother and send Daddy off to CA via the MSP airport. We picked the dogs up from the kennel, ate an early supper and took Little Brother to scouts. When we got home I had a message from the camp medical officer. Big Brother's foot was purple and swollen and I needed to take him to the Doctor. Tuesday morning, bright and early we headed back to the Brainerd Lakes Area. We picked up Big Brother at camp and took him to see the orthopedic doctor that had taken his cast off. They squeezed us in, thankfully. They took x-rays. The doctor said it was going to swell and turn purple as the blood pooled in his foot and he should ease back into use. No five mile hike this week but, at least we could take him back to camp. I think both of us had been bracing ourselves for the news that we'd have to take him home. So for the second time in three days we dropped him back at camp. And then drove home. We enjoyed hot fudge sundaes going home as well.
