Feeding the Chickens and Collecting Eggs
After the pigs went to market I was having a hard time throwing away all the scraps and decided to make a compost pile. The compost pile was like a candy store for the guineas. Every morning I let the guineas out and they'd head right to the pile to see what yummy treats I had left for them. Since the purpose of having the guineas is for them to eat bugs I did not want them filling up on table scraps and peelings. So we decided to see if the chickens like the scrap bucket. It is the highlight of their day, you should see them come running. It is quite amusing to watch them argue over a particular tasty scrap or a noodle. On the day of the photo the guineas were in the pen because it had been very rainy that day. They may not mind the rain but I feel bad because their feathers get so bedraggled.
