Happy Memorial Day

While enjoying the unofficial first day of summer we paused to consider WHY we have Memorial Day. I reminded my children that it is to honor those who died in service to their country. We are very thankful to those who serve and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The entry to our city cemetery was lined with large flags, beautifully waving in the wind, of course I forgot my camera.
