We made one last batch of applesauce. Then we made apple jelly and apple butter. We enjoyed some of the jelly while the cousins were here, yum! The "perfect" apples got wrapped in newspaper, placed in a bushel basket and put into the sports shed for cold storage. Every day or so we go get apples for the fruit bowl.

Why do you wrap apples? Does that preserve them?
