The road less traveled. . .


After riding we took a hike to find these rhododendron. A naturalist, B.W. Wells, found this stand of rhododendron in the 1930's far, far from where they should be. He called it a freak of nature, I call it another of God's surprises. They are native to the NC mountains, but we were hiking in Johnston County.
